This is a model that proves good things come in small packages. With its compact dimensions and tight turning circle, the Kia Picanto is adept at getting about town, while its sporty silhouette and bold accents draw glances wherever it goes.

A choice of seven vibrant paint colours rounds off the look, with GT-Line models featuring contrasting tones for extra racing appeal. Inside, the Picanto makes space for five, with its five-door body providing easy access to the rear seats. Soft upholstery, careful finishes and clever cubbies all make for a premium feel and relaxed ride.

    Engines and performance

The Picanto comes with a choice of petrol engines, ranging from the frugal 1.0-litre 66bhp model, which delivers a combined fuel consumption of 50.4mpg, to the punchy 1.25-litre 83bhp variant, which provides a little more pull if you find yourself heading out of town frequently. GT-Line models also offer a 1.0-litre, 99hp unit, which balances power and efficiency for the ultimate sporty drive.

Direct steering ensures this model is highly manoeuvrable, while its expertly engineered chassis ensures there’s minimal lean through corners. All in all, it’s great fun whether you’re tackling country lanes or city streets.
